Curry at Palairos

The sixteen seater bus left Bill's at 6.30

A great time was had by all
Especially as no one had to worry about driving
Good company, good food & good value
I look forward to doing it again

Lilith

Have you ever heard if Lilith ?
I am surprised that I had not.
I have just finished reading the Sunday Times (23rd August !)
There was an extract from "Red: A Natural History of the Redhead" by Jacky Collis Harvey
Where she said that redheads were often 'portrayed as sexually voracious or vampship'
'The earliest is Lilith, Adam's first flame-haired wife, who refused to obey him and hurtled into the wilderness - ending up as a night demon and a witch'
Adam's first wife ??????

We took the ferry to Sirmione del Garda
and found this on one of the beaches.
Needed Googling
The dream installations were originally the work of Yoko Ono back in 2008, all over Italy.
This year it is back in the beach as part of the Fondazione Bonotto Foundation from Venice.
Quote:-
With the DREAM project a word became a manifesto.
A single word to sum up complexity, an uncertain future, a crisis, values.
Too much information methinks

Switzerland

We don't normally enjoy the drive through Switzerland
Road works, road works & road works
And the scenery not what I expected
BUT ....
This time we went over the Gottard Pass instead of through the ghastly tunnel

The top of the pass
There was a disproportionate number of motor bikes and sports cars enjoying the windy road

The top was like another world
Flat with rocky crags and dotted with pools and small lakes

Just as we began to descend we stopped at a little cafe with a spectacular view

The sound of the cow bells below was so loud

A view of the road to come

We're off. France ....

Calais & the new double, razor wired fence is much in evidence.

First stop Ibis in Reims
