Bye Bye Tree

Plenty of logs

It is much lighter without it
We just have to decide what to do with Ann's Summer House
Or as she always called it her Garden Cabin

Just the stump and the saw dust to deal with

This time cutting up old doors to go in the car for the tip
Helping Ingrid to clear out the garage

The Great Chain Saw Massacre Commences

This tree has to go ...
Pretty sad looking , and not at all well

This nest came down with one of the branches
Glad to say it was uninhabited
But a beautiful work of art

OK - Wrong Bridge !

Grand Union Canal
Bridge 70
That was the one ....

Back in sunny (but cool) Blighty for nearly a week now

We had a lovely afternoon at Baddesley Clinton
National Trust property

Then supper at the Black Boy pub
An old haunt of Paul's many years ago
Now much changed of course

The Black Boy canal bridge
If you want to know more of the importance of this -
Just ask ....

Book Catch up

The story of Paul & Rachael Chandler
I found it a fascinating read
May appeal more to the Yachties among us
I still have the book (in UK I think)
If anyone would like it.

An Autobiographical book about her experience and recovery from depression
Not as harrowing as you might imagine
I found it quite upliftifng
(Sorry on Kindle)

An unusual style and a gripping read
The book is here in Greece
Anyone seen (or have got) the movie ?

I like Maeve Binchy, but not keen on short stories.
Think this one is in UK too.
We will be driving back in September though
