11th July finds us is Gosnay France, about an hours drive from Calais

There were two hotels on the site, a fantastic chateau, and the outbuildings.
We were in the stables I think, but the brick vaulted ceiling was wonderful

The gardens were spectacular with flowers and vegetables growing side by side

Our Hotel was right on the Danube and this is the solar powered ferry to cross to the other side

The Museum of Bread Culture

I just had to visit the Museum of Bread Culture
It was really interesting - even Paul thought so !

8th July 6.00 am and we are at dock 10 as instructed
The ferry is on time - wonderful
Everyone disembarks and then they pull up the ramp and go ...
Not our ferry after all, another hour or so to wait, as usual

Internet at last !

7th July and we are off on our travels
A pleasant overnight stay in Igoumenitsa at the Angeiki Palace
And Gyros and Souvlaki in a taverna round the corner
Well, we won't be eating Greek food for a while
