A good read

It was nice to read a page turning thriller after all the heavy emotional family stuff.  Even if it wasn't "A thriller as shocking as 'The Da Vinci Code'" as promised on the cover

Movie Night

We watched Life of Pi (not in 3D of course) and I was disappointed.  Loved the book, but the film just did not come up to the standard for me,  despite the nice bottle of Mavrodafne and the blue cheese that I had bought for the occsision.

Saturday in Albania

The highlight for me was the trip to Butrint.  An extensive archaeological site, parts of which date from the 6th century BC.  The Grand Basilica, a relatively modern building (!) was just a small part.  It took us 2 hours to walk round the entire site

I woz there !

Next the 'Blue Eye'.  A very deep fresh water spring

Then Saturday night was party night !

Friday in Albania

On the way we had a lovely lunch at a taverna in Albania of Elizabeth's sister.   All the lads fell in love with this Mercedes truck and tried to buy it

On arrival we were really pleased with our room

And the view across the bay of Saranda was fabulous

Friday and ready for the off to Albania

It looks as though we will be lucky with the weather...

and the boys are ready for a good trip !

65 years old !

That makes me feel my age too !!
