Lachlan & Austin make bread crumbs for the bread sauce

Then Austin tries the cranberry sauce they have made on the crusts
Looks like he thinks it is good !
Also note the sponge cake - just out of the oven....

We decided on a passion flower for the arch - with some honeysuckle too

Friday 16th December

We had a nice lunch at Katoghi today..
The Spaghetti Puntanesca was excellent,
and the log fire very comforting

This has always bothered me..
Is it deliberate or a problem with the English/Greek alphabet?

So now my little car gets the once over
Wheels, tyres, brakes
'cos it is going to be a bit busier

Can you believe that I saw dolphins from the house today ?
I took this pic a few minutes after, but believe me, they are in there somewhere..

My gecko had a refurb while the metal paint was out...
Now he will go away for the winter - away from the nasty rain

Looking forward to the patter of tiny paws .....

Book Club

What a lovely little book!
I really enjoyed it and it made me want to read other things that she has written. I am already a great fan of Woman's Hour.

Kindle Club

I finished this book today.
Another uninspiring cover from Kindle !
After his other books I was really looking forward to this, but I just did not 'get' it.
Anyone else read it?

We decided to replace our wood burning stove with a larger one
Off it goes...

And a few alterations needed to the chimney....

OK - The cover is not as attractive as a 'proper' book
(not that I have seen a copy of this)
Annabel by Kathleen Winter is a fascinating - if strange - tale of a baby of indeterminate sex born in northern Canada.
I enjoyed it a lot.
Now.. Kindle Users... I can loan you this book, or so I have read.
Happy to find out how if anyone is interested..
(Also anyone who had Kindle for i pad actually)
