Book Club

I spotted this book in the bestsellers section in Manchester Airport

It reminded me that a copy was on my shelf upstairs!

I think that this could be called "Women's fiction"

but well writtten and an interesting plot

I did not like it..

However I will search out a copy of her next novel

'House Rules'

This copy is on the way to the Community Room

Sand & cement arrived ok this morning

8.30 am!

Friday 19th November

Alex and the digger arrived around 8.00am thismorning

I wasn't dressed so I took this from the bedroom!

Paul watched enthralled with it all

This gives some idea of the finished plan
The ditch is for the foundations of the wall

And now the steel is in ready for the foundations

& a lorry load of stone has arrived so that we have enough to finish the wall
Onward & upward tommorrow?

Thursday 18th November

When I had the idea of the blog I always intended to include books that I am reading, but just never got round to it

This is the last book that I finished
The first Ian Rankin / Inspector Rebus novel that I have read
Really enjoyed it - and can recomend it
If you want to track it down I gave it to Linda...

Meanwhile Paul has taken down the rest of the wall

and I have finished the geraniums.
This bucket of twigs looks even more of a work of art than yesterday..
Or should I get out more?

Our trip to UK

On the way we treated ourselves to a night in the Sofitel and it was a lovely view as the sun came up

When we reached Manchester we were thrilled by a surprise meeting by Victoria and the boys.

They were holding up signs!

I stuck them on my bedroom door

Victoria, Chris and the boys take Halloween very seriously

All the house was decorated. They even had a Halloween Tree!

We had a great day at Alton Towers

Also at Legoland at the Trafford Centre

A morning of cake making was fun

Austin carefully whisks the cake mixture

And the finished product is wonderful

Not forgetting one of the best parts
