It looks as though George has taken a fancy to Dizzy!

Tuesday 19th October

This is known locally as a 'Strawberry Tree'

The fruit is edible - I have eaten one with no ill effects

We have a few growing wild

I think that I love plants so much

because I was deprived of growing things for years on the boat

Sunday 17th October

Nasty wet day!

After I listened to The Archers I had a wander round The Archers website

Ended up doing a quiz

The reward for getting the answers right was

"A rare Archers image"

Thursday 14th October

I dodged the rain to pop down to Nidri to pick up a couple of things I needed from the shop

& I thought I would have a stroll along the front

It made me think that we are in danger of not seeing how beautiful the place really is

It is so easy to take it all for granted

Wednesday 13th October

Our Raft Reunion Party was supposed to have been today

but rain stopped play

Mind you plenty of beer seems to have been consumed on the day!

Serious welding work continues on Dizzy

Monday 11th October

Paul has bought his very own concrete mixer

OK it is in bits at the momment & needs fixing up

But Lachlan & Austin will be pleased to hear that we are going to call it Dizzy

The wrought iron work on the windows is looking pretty good

I just can't believe how well this hibiscus is doing

We overwintered it from last year -

Then it got eaten down to a couple of sticks in June

We must be doing something right!
